Website and visual itineraries for a dive operator, with content adaptation for the Asian market.
The challenge
Selling a dive trip is selling something intangible. The decision is made almost entirely through the images and the clarity of the itinerary.
The previous site forced the visitor to mentally reconstruct what each departure included, how many days it lasted and what level of experience was required. That friction is paid for in lost bookings.
Added to that was an objective of expansion towards an Asian audience that searches, compares and books differently.
What we did
We redesigned the content architecture around the itinerary: each departure is explained with duration, level and what is included, in a repeatable and comparable format.
We treat underwater photography as the main subject rather than as decoration, with a compositional system that lets the images breathe.
We adapt and localise the content for the Asian market, using the correct diving terminology rather than a literal translation.
The result
The visitor understands at a glance which immersion suits their level, something that previously required reading several pages and writing an email.
The itinerary-based structure also works at search level: each departure can rank for its destination and its type of immersion.
