Clinic, Barcelona
Brand system taken to production for a clinic: carrier bags, name badges, business cards, towels, pens, envelopes and folders.
The challenge
In a healthcare facility, the patient spends an hour surrounded by objects: the lanyard worn by staff, the pen used to sign the consent form, the couch towel, the bag they leave with.
Every single one of those items says something about the clinic's standard, and they are almost always bought separately, from different suppliers and without any common criteria. The result is a brand that contradicts itself between reception and the surgery.
Novo Clinic wanted the exact opposite: for everything the patient sees and touches to come from the same system.
What we did
We apply the identity to each piece taking into account its material and its use, which is where most systems break down: what works on paper does not work on fabric or metal.
The logo was rendered in white on the brand's graphite blue for the textile media, and in light engraving on grey for the metal pen, maintaining the same proportion between the symbol and the word across all sizes.
The ID cards combine corporate black with the warm nude from the palette, featuring the photograph in a circle and the job title beneath the name, legible at a glance from conversation distance.
The result
The clinic stopped buying loose items and moved to applying a system. When a new piece appears, the decision has already been made.
It is the kind of commission that proves the studio's argument better than any presentation: coherence is not seen in the logo, it is seen when seven distinct objects look as though they belong to the same family.
